Congratulations!

Welcome to A Peaceful Integration, PLC and MotherDaughterWeekends.com “Snuggle Deep Retreat”! We can’t wait to share this experience with both of you. This is a truly amazing event that we trust you will cherish for years to come.

There are several things we want you to know ahead of time to make your experienceand travel more enjoyable.
 
Hotel Information
The Snuggle Deep Retreat will be held at the new and contemporary Aloft Hotel at the Phoenix Airport. They are graciously holding a block of rooms for us at $119.00 +tax per night (standard rate is $175.00). The retreat begins Friday, Feb. 19th at 7PM and runs through Sunday, Feb 21st at 12PM. Should you want to come early or stay longer, the Aloft will honor our group rate of $119.00 for your additional nights.
 
To make your reservations, call Aloft Hotel at (602) 275-6300. Press #1 for the Reservationist and let them know you are part of the “Mother Daughter Retreat”.

Awesome shopping, restaurants and entertainment all within a few miles away via the Valley Metro Light Rail (Stops right across from Aloft Hotel/$3.50 for all-day pass).
 
Airport Transportation
The Aloft has 24/7 Airport Shuttle Service. Upon arrival and after having retrieved your luggage, call the hotel for your shuttle and they will come pick you up. At the end of your stay, you will want to schedule your ride ahead of time with the receptionist or hotel operator. (602) 275-6300
 
Retreat Timeline
Friday, Feb. 19th  7:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Be sure that you’ve had dinner before arriving as we will not be breaking for munchies until around 9:00 PM. We will likely be together until 11:00 or 11:30 PM (like any good sleepover would! J). The Aloft conference room and sleeping rooms are all contained in the same building providing us with a safe, secure and comfortable environment.
 
Saturday, Feb. 20th  10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
You are on your own for breakfast. Today’s Lunch and Dinner is on us. Aloft caterers will provide our lunch service and we have reservations across the street at Ruby Tuesday’s for dinner. There are plenty of built-in breaks throughout the day/night; so, even though it looks like a long day, you’ll be having so much fun, time is going to fly by.
 
Sunday, Feb. 21st 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
You are on your own for breakfast and lunch today – with our retreat celebration/wrap-up ending at noon. Don’t worry, we will have a light mid-morning snack to keep you from getting too hungry.
 
Portraits
Included with your registration, is a 4x6 professional photo of you and your daughter - taken by one of our sponsors, Southwest Portraits. Should you want to purchase additional copies, there will be order forms available. For the best possible photos, the photographer suggests that you wear something solid and bright and avoid patterns/stripes or white. So, pack something that you’ll feel comfortable wearing for the photo. Portraits will be taken either Saturday or Sunday and we will give you plenty of time to get ready. See Examples
 
Dress
In February, our days hit around 70°F - 77°F and our nights cool down to 44°F - 49°F. We will be inside for the majority of the activities with a few activities outside, if weather permits. We will do our best to make sure the room temperature is as comfortable as possible. Recognizing that our bodies are all different, you will want to bring along a sweatshirt or sweater for layering as needed.
 
Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable and are easy to move around in. Casual clothes are fine (jeans, t-shirts, sweat suits, shorts,). If you want to wear something dressier for your mother/daughter portrait, remember to pack it. We will have a scheduled break before & after portraits – giving you enough time to change.
 
We will be participating in two basic yoga/stretching classes so bring along your personal yoga mat, if you have one. Otherwise, we will have some available. If you are an exercise enthusiast and need/want to get a work out in on your own time, the Aloft has a great facility onsite for you.
 
What to bring
Along with instructor led discussions, this retreat is highly interactive with whole group, small group and mom/daughter activities. Please pack the following items and bring them with you on Friday night:
·         Colored markers or crayons (4-6 different colors)
·         1 Pair of Scissors
·         1 Glue stick
·         2 Pens or pencils
·         A Journal or notebook for each of you
·         Baby photo of each of you (any size – preferably 5x7 or smaller)
o   The photo should be of you, alone, as a baby or small child (one photo of mom and one photo of daughter - as babies).
o   We will be using the photos for a special activity so you may want to bring a photo copy and leave the original at home.
o   Should you not have a photo of yourself as a baby, please cut one out from a magazine or print one from the computer to represent you.
·         Recent photo of each of you blown up to 16 X 20
o     The photo should be of you, alone, and as recent as possible (one photo of mom and one photo of daughter).
o     A place like Office Max, Kinko’s, Walgreens, or your local printer can enlarge your photos for less than $16.00. It does not have to be laminated, on photo paper or framed. Just blown up to a 16x20 (poster size) on regular paper/poster paper is fine.
o     If you want us to do this for you, please send a .jpg file to karennowicki@cox.net by Monday, Feb. 8th. The cost will be $20.00 per 16x20 photocopy.

Liability Release and Photo Waiver
We often have professional photographers with us to capture candid photos/videosof our retreats. The video footage and photos will be used for training and publicity purposesonly. Please read the “Liability Waiver and Photo Release Form”. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Karen Nowicki at 480-818-0206 or karennowicki@cox.net. Feel free to print, sign and bring a copy with you on Friday night; or, we will have the forms available for you to sign before we officially begin the retreat.
